Welcome to the savage world of the Jackals Wrath MC.
I had no idea what to expect from this book, but it sure as hell delivered on all the things. Strong female heroine. Alpha-hole badness. Suspense. Burning looks. A fated mate bond that can’t be denied. Phew.
Aaliyah Heller is a nurse, and avatar (keeper) of the Egyptian goddess, Isis. She also happens to be intimately involved in the Jackals’ rival motorcycle club. When her father is murdered, she decides to find out who his killer is on her own. She has her suspicions, of course, and the leader of the Jackals’, Slade Vincent, is suspect number one.
She suddenly finds herself in the Jackals’ den after a case of mistaken identity, giving her the in she was looking for… the only problem is, she’s faced with no less than FOUR men who call to her goddess. She knows that each one of them is her fated mate, but falling for the enemy wasn’t part of the plan.
This book was so different from anything else that’s out there. Andra has used Egyptian gods and goddesses in such a clever, unique way. Add in the modern twist of an MC, and you have a story that you will simply devour. I loved how the four men were so different. They all had their own identities, their own wounds, their own hang ups, and they were definitely not cookie-cutter in any way.
There’s only sex between Aaliyah and one character in this book — but there are loaded looks, brushes of hands and stolen kisses for all the other men in the harem, so that itch is still scratched. It's a slow burn in the sense that three out of the four men get no action at all, but the spicy scenes when they happen are 🔥🔥🔥.
Fair warning: this book does end on a cliffhanger, so brace yourself for that. The good news is that the other books in the series are available now so there’s no need to wait. I’ll be sure to grab the next book in the series.
All in all, a great introduction to the Jackals’ Wrath MC and Skyler Andra’s writing. I enjoyed every second of it!
